One of the coordinators: "Well, he might still be there [in the ballroom]. Yeah I don't know what he looks like."
Me: "Oh you can't miss him, he's stunning!"
Her: *looks at me like I'm crazy*
Yeaaaah turns out that this Enrique was an old policy wonk who just so happens to share a name with my future husband. So that was awkward.
All Your Face Are Belong To Us
One of my assignments today involved powdering the noses of the development executives before they were to be interviewed on film. Which means I got to meet them (awesome!) but that I also had to deal with some very shiny, sweaty, cranky men. These guys weren't big fans of wearing makeup, because makeup is a Girl Thing and they are Manly Men. Yet the glare off of a bald spot under production lights is nastayyyy to look at in a video clip. Enter the intern, brushing on powder and brushing off their comments about it, knowing that these guys will look good on film whether they like it or not.
I also got to work the registration desk, and met lots of great people whose names I will not drop because I am not a That Kid. But it was awesome. I am SO thankful for the folks at SID allowing me to crash their party & help out with the Congress. It's been a blast!
I came home this afternoon and passed out for five hours (oops!) in what can only be called a case of work-induced jet lag. Which is why I'm awake now, typing this, thinking about everything that's happened the past few days and in shock that this is my life.
