Sure enough, the VP was on campus yesterday with his granddaughter, who was touring the school! He took pictures with students, and I was lucky enough to get to meet him. It went like this:
"Hi, Vice President Biden, nice to meet you! I'm Angela."
*handshake*
"Where are you from?"
"Marietta, Georgia"
"Hot damn, woman."
*picture click*
"Thank you so much, it was great to meet you!"
If your reaction was some combination of huh? and yay DC! - it's all good, mine was, too. All of us Biden groupies stood around for awhile, completely freaking out over what had just happened. There were a lot of hugs, phone calls home, and general shrieking. And I'm pretty excited that I got to experience a Bidenism firsthand!
